TorinoFilmLab - Training, development, Funding

Production support

During the TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event projects developed within different TorinoFilmLab training programmes are presented to an audience of Decision Makers invited from all over the world.

The FeatureLab projects are eligible for TorinoFilmLab's support to production: the Production and Co-Production Awards.

Every year at the TFL Meeting Event an international Jury assigns Production and Co-Production Awards to a number of FeatureLab projects (in order to be eligible for these awards, all projects need to participate in the programme first). The awards are given to enable the making of the film, without any obligation to spend the money in Italy. The Jury changes every year, and it is formed by 5 members of the film industry.

The selection of the awarded projects for both the Production and Co-Production Awards is based on the following materials: script, budget, financing plan, production schedule, as well as on the public pitching of the project, and the individual meeting of the writer/director and producer with the Jury.

TFL Co-Production Awards awarding criteria

In order to be eligible for a TFL Co-Production Award, a FeatureLab project must be a co-production between at least one company based in a Creative Europe - MEDIA country and one company based in a country that is neither member of Creative Europe - MEDIA nor of Eurimages; moreover, the co-producer coming from a country participating in the Creative Europe - MEDIA sub-programme must have a share of minimum 25% and maximum 70% in the project. Besides, in order to be eligible for a TFL Co-Production Award in 2018, a FeatureLab project must be shot by the end of 2019.

TFL Production Awards awarding criteria

All the projects selected in FeatureLab and presented at the TFL Meeting Event are eligible for the Production Awards.

The Awarded projects of the TorinoFilmLab FeatureLab programme must indicate TorinoFilmLab support both in the opening and closing credits by displaying the TorinoFilmLab logo, together with the caption "Production Fund" or “Co-production Fund”.
