November 15, 2018

Over 190 international Decision Makers from more than 50 countries will attend the upcoming TFL Meeting Event 2018 (23-24 November), with a ratio of about 55% female presence to 45% male.

Including the participants presenting their projects – in development, pre- or post-production – around 115 producers will take part in the event, while a total of 30 between sales and distribution companies will be setting their eyes on the TFL 2018 selection. 25 film fund & film commission representatives, as well as top executives and programmers from at least 10 festivals will join them.

Many production companies that have been involved in film projects developed at TorinoFilmLab in the past are returning to Piemonte, such as Beofilm (Denmark), Heretic (Greece), De Wereldvrede (Netherlands), the French Ciné-Sud Promotion, Cinéma Defacto and Haut et Court, as well as nutprodukce (Czech Republic). Internationally renowned production houses such as Fandango and Tempesta will represent Italy, along with younger companies such as North-East based Nefertiti Film.

The list of confirmed world sales and distributors comprises among others Alpha Violet, BAC Films, Celluloid Dreams, Diaphana, Le Pacte, Luxbox, m-appeal, MK2, Memento, New Europe Film Sales, Playtime, Pluto Film and Wild Bunch. Italian companies will include distributor Teodora Film and sales agents Intramovies and True Colours.

Among the film funds in attendance are the CNC (France), the Danish Film Institute, the Doha Film Institute, the Finnish Film Foundation, the Greek Film Centre, the Irish Film Board, the Netherlands Film Fund, the Polish Film Institute and several others, including Eurimages and Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. Representatives of Fondation Gan, Hubert Bals Fund and the Berlinale World Cinema Fund will also be participating.

Furthermore, the TFL Meeting Event will welcome executives and programmers from world-class film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto, Locarno, Rotterdam, San Sebastián and Karlovy Vary.
