TFL Next tackles Audience Design with a special workshop on 10-18 September!

August 28, 2020

Summer is almost gone… and so we get back on track with a new TFL Next workshop – the first dedicated to Audience Design!

The TFL Next – Audience Design workshop will offer 5 film professionals the opportunity to gather and discuss the best strategies to release a feature film, through a "learning-by-doing" approach.

Under the guidance of TFL-trained tutor Benjamin Cölle (Germany),  the participants will in fact develop innovative audience engagement strategies for the recipient of the new Audience Design Award – by WCF Europe & TFL. The work will take place in parallel with the AD consultancies on the 3 feature film projects awarded with the TFL Audience Design Fund.

Participants will have the possibility to network with the film teams being directly involved in the process of building a concrete strategy to later support the films’ sales and distribution. They’ll have the chance to understand how audience engagement is an important part of the new film production and distribution landscape since the development stage.

Here are the participants selected for TFL Next – Audience Design:

- Ewa Bojanowska (Poland), Head of Marketing at New Europe Film Sales;
- Katitza Kisic (Peru), film and TV producer;
- Clémentine Mourão-Ferreira (France/Portugal), producer in France and Mexico, founder of Bordeaux-based company SO-CLE;
- Rafael Sampaio (Brazil), Producer at Klaxon CulturAudiovisual;
- Marina Tarabay (Brazil), Marketing Manager of the distribution company Elo Company.

The workshop will run online from 10 to 18 September, completed by follow-up sessions in the weeks & months to come.
